UN TRENINO PIENO DI AUGURI! / A LITTLE TRAIN FULL OF WISHES!

E anche quest’anno siamo arrivati a Natale, il periodo nel quale le famiglie si ritrovano per passare ore liete in serenità ed allegria. Ma per i bambini il Natale vuol dire soprattutto regali. Ed è pensando a loro che anche quest’anno ho realizzato un trenino in legno, più lungo del precedente, ma di dimensioni ridotte. (trovate il link al primo trenino sotto).

And also this year we arrived at Christmas, the period in which families come together to spend happy hours in serenity and joy. But for children, Christmas means above all gifts. And it is thinking of them that this year too I made a wooden train, longer than the previous one, but of smaller dimensions (you can find the link to the first train above).

Si compone di otto vagoni più la locomotiva.  Un trenino del west che trasporta combustibile, legno, carbone, sughero, vino e paglia. È realizzato in legno di rovere e legno fresco trovato nei boschi qui vicino. Finitura ad olio e cera.

It consists of eight wagons plus the locomotive. A train from the west that transports fuel, wood, coal, cork, wine and straw. It is made of oak and fresh wood found in the woods nearby. Oil and wax finish.

Essendo un regalo ho realizzato anche una scatola dove poterlo riporre. La scatola presenta degli incastri a coda di rondine ed è fatta con legno di Toulipier, finito con vernice color noce e cera.

Being a gift, I also made a box for storing it. The box has dovetail joints and is made of Toulipier wood, finished with walnut and wax paint.
